‘Town history meets wine enjoyment’ is the motto under which Ingelheim's Kultur und Marketing GmbH (IkUM) - together with the Ingelheim tour guides and in cooperation with four wineries - is once again offering exciting wine tours with historical input in November. Following the successful premiere of the format in spring, when Ingelheim's history met ‘new wines’, this time the focus is on mature wines.
The historical part (old stones) will be taken over by the tour guides, who will bring the town's history to life in a one-hour tour of selected locations (Kaiserpfalz, Wackernheim, Remugiuskirche). Four Ingelheim wineries located in the neighbourhood of the respective historical sites are responsible for the ‘mature wines’ part of the tour. The wineries (Arndt F. Werner, Mett & Weidenbach, Rump and Weiand) will each present three top mature wines to the guests as part of a small wine tasting. A glass of Secco will be served as a welcome drink.
Dates:
- Friday, 1 November 3 pm: Kaiserpfalz meets Weingut Arndt F. Werner
- Friday, 15 November 3 p.m.: Wackernheim - stories of water and wine meet the Rump and Weiand wineries
- Friday, 22 November 3 p.m.: Remigiuskirche meets Arndt F. Werner Winery
- Saturday, 23 November 3 pm: Kaiserpfalz meets Mett & Weidenbach winery
