The former noble estate of the Freiherren von und zu Erthal, originally from the 16th century, remains a defining feature of the local landscape despite modernizing changes, with its raised gable roof. The Renaissance courtyard archway with man gate and coat of arms (Imperial Eagle and von Erthal) has been fully but very skillfully restored. Its remarkable local historical significance derives from being the last seat of the independently governed mayor's office and village representation until 1972. The right to have its own village leader within the city association of Ingelheim could still be maintained as a contractual feature.

The Großwinternheim district consists of about 700 hectares of prime vineyard locations and other specialty culture areas.

To the right, just past house No. 14, a narrow alley known as the "Reilchen" branches off. It has shortened the path to the (Catholic) church since ancient times. A stone marker at the property No. 6 above serves as a reminder of the great "flood" of April 2, 1876.
