Cellar comrades – history of the Ingelheim wine cooperative; contemporary witnesses recount

Ingelheim am Rhein
on 06.09.2026 from 15:00 to 16:30 o'clock

The multimedia wine experience exhibition "Kellergenossen" tells the story of the development of wineries in the 20th century using the example of the Ingelheim winegrowers' cooperative. Together with the last chairman of the cooperative, Andi Heßel, and his brother and tour guide Friedrich Heßel, you will experience a piece of regional industrial culture in the Ingelheim winemaker's cellar.

The tour takes you deep into the impressive barrel cellar with its powerful vaults and fascinating stories about the construction, founding, and work of the cooperative. Artistically carved barrels and interactive stations provide insights into viticulture and wine professions. To conclude, you will be treated to a glass of wine from the Ingelheim wine shop.
