Mainz meets Ingelheim – where the Emperor once resided

Get on board and enjoy a very special time travel: In the lovingly restored traditional bus, we travel from Mainz to Ingelheim – even the journey itself becomes a nostalgic experience.

Upon arrival in Ingelheim, you will trace the footsteps of the rulers of the early Middle Ages. You will visit the impressive remains of the imperial palace – one of the best-preserved medieval palace complexes in Europe. Here, history comes alive: From this significant place, Charlemagne directed the affairs of his empire, held assemblies, and united secular and spiritual power.

Dive into a time when Ingelheim was a center of European history, and let yourself be captivated by the special atmosphere of this place.
After the historical impressions, you will be treated to a glass or two of wine and a delicious snack at the Mett and Weidenbach winery, embodying the Rheinhessen way of life.

Afterward, the historical bus of the Traditionsbusfreunde Mainz e.V. will take you back to Mainz in a relaxed manner.
