Goldisches Mainz meets the Red Wine City of Ingelheim: with the nostalgia bus on a cultural and culinary tour

Board the bus and enjoy a very special journey through time: In the lovingly restored traditional bus, we travel from Mainz to Ingelheim – even the ride itself becomes a nostalgic experience.

Upon arrival in the Red Wine City, a knowledgeable guide will take you on a tour through the impressive Ingelheimer Winzerkeller. Explore the historic building and immerse yourself in the time around 1900 when viticulture took new paths with the idea of cooperation.

In the vaulted cellar, you will experience the award-winning permanent exhibition "Kellergenossen". Let yourself be enchanted by the special atmosphere of bygone times and admire the artistically carved historical wine barrels. Their detailed depictions tell stories about the lives of the winemakers and the events that shaped the region.
After this exciting journey into the history of industry and wine, you can enjoy – in true Rheinhessen style – a glass or two of wine and a small snack at the Ingelheimer Vinothek.

Afterwards, the historic bus of the Traditionsbusfreunde Mainz e.V. will bring you back to Mainz comfortably.
