Lesung mit Hubertus Mayer-Burckhardt

Reading with Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt – "The book of my life has been written by wiser people"

It is small, black with red corners, and is partially falling apart at the edges: a notebook that has accompanied Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt since his youth – it is the book of his life. He records sentences and quotes that he has fallen in love with. Thoughts that inspired him, carried him through difficult times, and made him happy – and still do. Sentences that he felt were good for life, which must be remembered and written down, otherwise they will be lost. That would be tragic because the right thoughts at the right time change a lot ...

Along with personal comments, anecdotes, and interpretations by the author, a unique, very special autobiographical collage on the great themes that each of us encounters at some point emerges: love, loss, friendship, and the question of the meaning of our existence: a vademecum for all life situations ... that’s live 90 quotes in 90 minutes!

Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt, born in 1956 in Kassel, took to the stage of the local state theater at the age of 15. Since then, he knew that he wanted to do “something with entertainment” and attended the University of Television and Film. As a TV producer, he won numerous awards, spent years on the board of Axel Springer AG and at ProSieben-
Sat.1, and held a professorship at the Hamburg Media School.

He is also known to millions as the host of over 1,000 episodes of the "NDR Talk Show." Most recently, his SPIEGEL bestseller "The whole shit with time: My discovery of the now" (2021) was published.
