Maxime Open

On July 4 and 5, 2026, over 50 wineries from the Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen will open their courtyards in Ingelheim. No exhibition hall, no standing tables, no crowding. Instead: real winemakers, their wines directly at the place where they are made – and a shuttle bus that takes you comfortably from station to station.

What to expect:
The Maxime Open is not a classic wine fair. It's more of a wine hike – with wineries instead of booths, with conversations instead of sales talks. You start whenever you want. You choose your stations yourself. And between the wineries, the shuttle bus is waiting to take you along comfortably. A short walk is part of it – but that’s what gives the event its relaxed, almost village-like character.

At each station, the winemakers will personally serve you. You can ask questions, taste, discuss. Over 300 different wines are spread out over the weekend – from crisp white wines to elegant Burgundy varieties to lively sparkling wines.

Your ticket includes wine tasting at all stations and the shuttle bus between the wineries.

Travel & Shuttle
A shuttle station is located directly at Ingelheim train station – so you can easily arrive by train and completely do without a car.
Between the wineries, shuttle buses operate on a hop-on-hop-off principle: just get on and off as it suits you. The buses run on Saturdays from 11 am to 6 pm and on Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm – every 30 to 40 minutes from each station. Those who wish can also stroll the routes on foot.

The shuttle buses are included in the ticket price.
