Maxime Open

On July 4 and 5, 2026, over 50 wineries from the Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen will open their estates in Ingelheim. No exhibition hall, no standing desks, no crowds. Instead: real winemakers, their wines directly at the place where they are created – and a shuttle bus that will comfortably take you from station to station.

What to expect:
The Maxime Open is not a classic wine fair. It is more of a wine hike – with estates instead of exhibition booths, with conversations instead of sales pitches. You start whenever you want. You choose your stations yourself. And between the estates, the shuttle bus is waiting to take you comfortably further. A short walk is part of it – but that is exactly what gives the event its relaxed, almost village-like character.

At each station, the winemakers will personally serve you. You can ask questions, taste, and discuss. Over 300 different wines are available throughout the weekend – from crisp white wines to elegant Pinot varieties and lively sparkling wines.

The ticket includes wine tasting at all stations and the shuttle bus between the estates.

Arrival & Shuttle
A shuttle station is located directly at the Ingelheim train station – so you can easily arrive by train and completely forgo the car.
Shuttle buses operate between the wineries on a hop-on-hop-off principle: simply get on and off as you please. The buses run on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. – departing every 30 to 40 minutes from the individual stations. Those who wish can also stroll the routes on foot.

The shuttle buses are included in the ticket price.
