Public tour: Waterways - Wackernheim's blue gold

Wackernheim
on 13.06.2027 from 14:00 to 15:30 o'clock

What was life like in the countryside around 1900? Together we will explore the history of the village of Wackernheim and visit its character-defining buildings, as behind every facade there is an amusing story.

Through historical photographs, one can experience the daily life from more than 125 years ago up close. Unlike in the urban Ingelheim, the laborious work in the fields determined the daily routine.

Stories will be told that make the village livable and lovable. What festivals were celebrated, how was it with calculating and writing, where did one get sweaty hands before the first dance lesson?

Look forward to Wackernheim and its history!
