Vernissage "UNTERKONSTRUKTION" - Kunstverein Ingelheim

In their joint exhibition UNDER CONSTRUCTION, Katja and Jesco von Puttkamer intertwine their artistic works into an exciting dialogue. Architecture appears in different ways: as an object and as painting. The ambiguous title refers to both the supporting and the hidden, to structures in formation as well as to experimental processes. "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" here means not only a technical framework but also an open search for form, material, and meaning.

In the exhibition space, Katja and Jesco von Puttkamer unfold a playful interplay: objects, painterly fragments, and serial structures relate to each other like building blocks of a construction set. Thus, an architecture of the provisional emerges, which takes the gaze of the viewers into the processual nature of their artistic practice.
