Since 1991, the Strabone family has been serving pizza, pasta, and other Italian specialties at the family restaurant LA NAVE in Spießgasse in the historic city center. The restaurant is the longest-established Italian in Alzey. Initially opened by the uncle, La Nave was taken over by the parents in 1991 and is now run by the Strabone family in its second generation.
In addition to pizza and pasta, there is a daily changing lunch menu as well as fish and meat dishes.
