To kick things off, a sparkling welcome glass of Secco is served, with which guests raise a toast to an atmospheric summer evening. During the tour, which lasts around three hours, two selected Ingelheim classics are served. The covered wagon ride is accompanied by fascinating insights into Ingelheim’s wine-growing landscape, viticulture and the history of this town renowned for its red wines.
The next vineyard tour organised by the Ingelheim Vinothek takes place on Wednesday 12 August. It starts at 5 pm at the Ingelheim Vinothek/Ingelheim Winzerkeller (Binger Straße 16). A ticket for the covered wagon tour costs 25 euros – including a welcome glass of Secco, two glasses of Ingelheim wine and water. A snack is not included. If you’d like, you can bring your own picnic rucksack and turn the trip into your very own vineyard picnic.
For anyone wishing to delve even deeper into the world of Ingelheim wine, there is also the optional ‘Ingelheim Trio’: three carefully selected wines from the vineyards along the route can be added as a package for 12 euros per person. Wines are served directly from the covered wagon; payment can be made conveniently by debit or giro card.
