Autumn programme at the Ingelheim Wine Cellar offers classical music and cabaret, readings and improvisation

The Ingelheim Wine Cellar is kicking off its 2025 autumn programme with a diverse range of events. From readings to classical music, improvisation to comedy – Ingelheim Culture and Marketing GmbH (IkUM) has once again put together an attractive package for the months of September to December.

The cultural autumn will kick off on Thursday, 11 September, with publicist and journalist Arno Frank. Starting at 7 p.m., he will read from his novel Ginsterburg in the historic vaulted cellar. The book is about love, family, friendship and personal entanglements in the years 1935 to 1945.

Germany's most famous literary critic, Denis Scheck, will be a guest in Ingelheim on Wednesday, 8 October, at 7 p.m. In the wine cellar, he will read from his 432-page publication ‘Schecks Bestsellerbibel’ (Scheck's Bestseller Bible). The presenter of the literary magazine “Druckfrisch” fearlessly passes judgement on the Spiegel bestseller list in his work and presents ‘treasures and trash from 20 years’.

On Saturday, 11 October, at 8 p.m., Orchestra Mondo will embark on a musical ‘short holiday for the soul’. Popular film melodies invite the audience to dream, and the energy of the tango ignites wanderlust.

Striking guitar riffs, atmospheric synth sounds and vivid lyrics that immediately conjure up images in the mind's eye – these are the ingredients with which the Berlin indie band Von Flocken will electrify the audience at the Winzerkeller on Sunday, 12 October, at 7 p.m.

‘Comedy at the touch of a button’ is what the Mainz comedy ensemble Die Affirmative will be serving up on Friday, 17 October, at 8 p.m. in Ingelheim. Guests in the historic vaulted cellar can look forward to a top-class improvised game show that will have them laughing their heads off.

In Villa Musica's popular ‘Wine and Music’ series, everything revolves around Mozart & Co. on Sunday, 19 October at 5 p.m. The ‘Confringo Piano Quartet’ will be on stage, guaranteeing musical delights. Guests will be served wines from the Wasem Winery in Ingelheim to accompany the individual pieces of music.

Under the title Nachtgedanken (Night Thoughts), singer and actress Patricia Prawit will present a reading concert on Sunday, 9 November at 5 p.m., in which she approaches the immortal myth of Marlene Dietrich from a rather unusual angle. Her entertaining mix of anecdotes, images and music will give the audience insights into lesser-known facets of this exceptional artist.

On Wednesday, 19 November, at 7 p.m., bestselling author Kai Meyer will read from his brand-new novel Das Antiquariat am alten Friedhof (The Antiquarian Bookshop at the Old Cemetery). In the midst of turbulent times, four young men gather in an antiquarian bookshop in the graphic arts district of Leipzig in 1930. Driven by their passion for literature, they become book thieves.

Poetry & music is the theme on Saturday, 29 November, at 7 p.m., in the Ingelheim wine cellar. With their new programme ‘SelbstBewusst’ (Self-Aware), singer-songwriter Larkly and poet Helen Seidenfeder stage an enchanting evening full of insights that are good for the soul and make you strong.

The reading with Fabio Nola on Wednesday, 3 December, at 7 p.m. promises pure excitement. The captivating crime novel ‘Commissario Gaetano und der lügende Fisch’ (Commissario Gaetano and the Lying Fish) is about a brutal and extremely mysterious murder that takes place in the historic centre of Naples.

Tickets for the events are available at the tourist information office in the Ingelheim wine cellar (Binger Straße 16), at the Wagner bookshop and at all Ticket Regional advance sales outlets. Tickets are also available online at www.ingelheimer-winzerkeller.de.
