The tour in the vintage bus starts at 10 a.m. at the tourist information office in Bingen (Rheinkai 21). At 10.15 a.m., there will be a tasting of three wines with a tour of the cellars at the Hildegardishof winery. Afterwards, the post bus will take you to Gau-Algesheim, where the next highlight awaits: at 11:50 a.m., there will be a sparkling wine tasting at the Nikolaushof winery, followed by lunch and a short tour of the winery. After the snack, the bus will chug leisurely on to Ingelheim, where a three-wine tasting will begin at 2:15 p.m. at the Mett & Weidenbach winery. Another highlight is the subsequent guided tour of the Kellergenossen exhibition in the Ingelheim wine cellar – a glass of wine included. At 4.30 p.m., the historic Postbus will finally take you back to Bingen. If you feel like it, you can round off the day after the tour at the ‘Night of Seduction’ on the Rochusberg in Bingen.
Two further tours in the nostalgia bus are planned for September and October 2026. On Saturday, 12 September, the focus will be on the cultural highlights of Bingen and Ingelheim, including the Ingelheim wine cellar, the Ober-Ingelheim castle church, the Museum am Strom in Bingen and the Rochuskapelle chapel. The tour on Saturday, 10 October promises wine and cultural enjoyment with stops at the Ingelheim wine cellar, the Michel winery in Bingen, the Bingen Rochusberg and the Laurenzi and Jakobsberg hills. Information on all three bus tours is available online at www.ingelheim-erleben.
