Lisbon on the western edge of Europe is a true cultural melting pot, reflecting in the diversity of the evening's music. This includes the literature of Portuguese classics such as Pessoa and Camoes, alongside exile authors like Döblin and enthusiasts like Antonio Tabbuchi and Paul Mercier.
The literary journey begins and ends at night and takes you through well-known districts of the city from new perspectives. Alexander Gelhausen (singer and reciter) from the Mainz University of Music presents the texts and sings the Fado and Latin arrangements by Axel Grote (sax/flute) and Sebastian Kling (piano), framed by solo interludes from bassist Florian Werther and drummer Axel Pape.
Look forward to interesting insights into Portuguese literature with a focus on Lisbon and a unique musical diversity.
