On 1 May 2026, the Gau-Algesheim Vineyard Wine Walk 2026 invites you to enjoy a very special spring experience: the route winds through the vineyards around Gau-Algesheim, passing the five vineyards of Steinert, Goldberg, Johannisberg, Rothenberg and Laurenzikapelle – turning every step into a delightful moment amidst the awakening countryside.
When the vines are ablaze with fresh greenery and the view stretches far across the Rhine Valley to the Rheingau, an atmosphere is created that is truly inspiring – allowing you to enjoy the day in complete relaxation: with a glass of Riesling, culinary delights, or a leisurely stroll from stop to stop.
The route, which is around 5 kilometres long, winds through varied wine-growing landscapes and invites you to experience the unique characteristics of each vineyard up close. At the various stops, you’ll gain fascinating insights into the local terroir and can taste for yourself how the soil, climate and location are reflected in the flavour of the wines.
