For over 20 years, the Bismarck Tower has been shining brightly over Ingelheim and far into the Rhine Valley during the pre-Christmas period as a large Advent candle – a shining landmark of the city during the dark season. Rheinhessische Energie- und Wasserversorgungs-GmbH is once again strongly committed to this identity-forming Advent light of a contemplative nature in 2025.
The town marketing association Lebenswertes Ingelheim traditionally organises the festival with culinary delights, mulled wine and live music. This year, groups from the music school at the WBZ will once again entertain the audience: the Musikfüchse and MusiKids, Carolin Smykla's singing class and the trumpet ensemble ‘Brassessenz’ will be performing. Experience the festive illumination of ‘our’ candle in an atmospheric setting when, at 7 p.m., Mayor Eveline Breyer and Martin Wunderlich from the Rheinhessische newspaper press a button to light up the Bismarck Tower on the Waldeck. Afterwards, there will be an hour of music from the saxophone ensemble ‘Tune Up!’ to round off the evening.
Celebrate the illumination of the 24th ‘Ingelummer Kerz’ with us on 27 November in the town centre – and Ingelheim will shine!
