Ingelheim Harbour Festival with live music, an arts and crafts market and a varied children’s programme

On the last weekend in July, the festival site on the banks of the Rhine in Ingelheim will once again become a magnet for anyone wishing to celebrate, relax and enjoy the summer together. From Friday 24 July to Sunday 26 July, the traditional Ingelheim Harbour Festival invites you to three lively days on the Jungau. Visitors can look forward to a varied programme featuring live music, arts and crafts, fairground rides and an exciting children’s programme. There will also be a tempting range of food and drink on offer, with something to suit every taste, from sweet to savoury.

On all three days of the festival, the Ingelheim wineries will once again set up their tents beneath the willow trees on the banks of the Rhine, where atmospheric lighting and sunshades create a welcoming atmosphere. The Ingelheim wine shop will also have a stand, serving delicious locally produced wines and grape juice. A wide range of culinary delights will also be available at various food stalls.

The artists’ market on the festival grounds once again attracts visitors with inspiring creative offerings. The market is open on Saturday from 2 pm to 10 pm and on Sunday from 11 am to 10 pm.

The official opening of the Ingelheim Harbour Festival, organised by Ingelheimer Kultur und Marketing GmbH (IkUM), will take place on Friday evening (6 pm). Philipp Weitzel, the current ‘Father Rhine’, will kick off the three-day festival on the main stage. The music programme begins on the opening day at 7.30 pm: the band “Buzzing Basement” will play on the main stage, and “Kilian Music” on the small stage. Among the highlights on the Saturday of the Harbour Festival is the “Shantychor” from Bretzenheim an der Nahe, which will create a great atmosphere at various locations across the festival grounds between 3 pm and 5 pm. The audience can look forward to being surprised by where the multi-voiced choir turns up. The evening stage programme kicks off on Saturday at 7.30 pm with “Teamwork” on the main stage and “Groove Colour” on the small stage. On the Sunday of the Harbour Festival, the stage programme kicks off at 11 am with a morning pint and brass band music. To round off the festival weekend, “Eighties Euphoria” will perform on the main stage from 6 pm, followed by “Café Bossa” on the small stage from 6.30 pm.

As was the case last year, IkUM is once again focusing on sustainability for the 2026 Harbour Festival. Reusable tableware will be used at all food stalls. By avoiding single-use tableware, waste volumes were already significantly reduced last year.

Accompanying the Harbour Festival, there will once again be an extensive supporting programme this year. Among other things, the Frei-Weinheim Local History Museum “Fischerhaus” will be opening its doors. On the Sunday of the Harbour Festival, visitors can view the traditional small house – not far from the festival grounds – from 2 pm to 5 pm.

To ensure that guests from the opposite bank of the Rhine can also travel here with ease and enjoy the Ingelheim Harbour Festival until late in the evening, ferry services between Oestrich-Winkel and the Ingelheim harbour pier will be extended on all three days. The last departures from Ingelheim are at 1.15 am on Friday and Saturday nights and at 10.15 pm on Sunday.
