Ingelheim open-air season with numerous festivals and cultural events

The Ingelheim open-air season 2025 has started. After the successful start with the spring festival at the Winzerkeller and the launch of the popular ‘Apéro series’, Ingelheim residents can look forward to further attractive outdoor events and town festivals until autumn. From the GardenING garden fair to ‘Töne & TamTam’ for the little ones and the red wine festival, the spectrum of open-air events organised by Ingelheimer Kultur und Marketing GmbH (IkUM) extends until autumn in Ingelheim.

Harbour festival on the Jungau

On the last weekend in July (25 to 27 July), the harbour festival on the Jungau once again invites you to celebrate, enjoy and linger. An attractive programme with a large artists' market, live music, wine and food stalls, a beer garden and fairground rides awaits guests on the banks of the Rhine in Ingelheim. In addition to bumper cars, a carousel and a Ferris wheel, there are also nostalgic rides. The Ingelheim winegrowers set up their tents under the willows on the banks of the Rhine. Atmospheric lighting and awnings create an inviting ambience.

‘Arts & Sounds’ in the Aula regia

From Thursday, 7 August to Sunday, 10 August, Ingelheim's Kultur und Marketing GmbH (IkUM) is presenting cultural enjoyment in the open air as part of the summer culture series ‘Arts & Sounds’ in the Aula regia. The first two evenings are dedicated to a special theatre project that is part of the Rhine-Hessian Zuckmayer theme year ‘Alles Carl?’. The play ‘Alles Carl? - Alles Karl!’ will premiere in the historical setting of Charlemagne's former throne room. The audience can also look forward to the Brel project and A Midsummer Night's Dream (interpreted by Rufus Beck) at ‘Arts & Sounds’.

Thursdays in the City / Thursdays in the City Kids

The Ingelheim summer highlight ‘Thursdays in the City’ takes place from 14 August to 4 September. On four consecutive Thursdays, there will be live music in the open air on Sebastian-Münster-Platz from 7 to 9 pm. Every week, different bands offer the audience a broad musical spectrum that leaves nothing to be desired. The children's programme ‘Thursdays in the City Kids’ starts at 3 pm on all event days, especially for the youngsters. Young guests can be enchanted by hands-on concerts, magic and puppet theatre on Sebastian-Münster-Platz. The event is supported by Rheinhessische Energie- und Wasserversorgungs-GmbH.

‘Sounds & TamTam’

At the end of the summer holidays, it's once again ‘Töne & TamTam - the family music festival in the castle garden’. On Saturday, 16 August and Sunday, 17 August, the enchanted garden of Haus Burggarten in Ober-Ingelheim will once again be the setting for a big musical children's festival. Young guests can look forward to music and unusual instruments, fairytale and storytellers, hands-on programmes and creative activities. The festival is being held for the fifth time this year.

Ingelheim Red Wine Festival 2025

Nine days of wine experiences - that's the promise of the Ingelheim Red Wine Festival, which will once again mark the crowning finale of the Ingelheim outdoor season in 2025. From Saturday, 27 September to Sunday, 5 October, the Ingelheim wineries will present their latest and best vintages at the Red Wine Festival. Visitors can look forward to an attractive and varied programme on the festival grounds around the Ober-Ingelheim castle church. There will be live music on several stages - from rock and pop to brass band music and the traditional family concert. As usual, a colourful children's programme awaits young visitors to the Red Wine Festival. The event is supported by Rheinhessische Energie- und Wasserversorgungs-GmbH.
