‘Old stones – sparkling wines’: Selztaldom meets Secco and sparkling wine

‘Old stones – sparkling wines’ is the title of a public guided tour offered by the Ingelheim Tourist Information Office on Saturday, 15 November at 4 p.m., which combines the history of Großwinternheim with sparkling Secco and sparkling wine.

The meeting point for the tour is the Großwinternheim ‘Selztaldom’ on Schwabenheimer Straße/corner of Oberhofstraße. After visiting the church, which is an outstanding example of late 19th century ecclesiastical architecture, there will be a tour of the cemetery, where historical monuments such as the veterans' stone and the mausoleum will be examined. After the tour, participants will gain an insight into the art of sparkling wine production at the Rolletter sparkling wine factory. They will taste a sparkling Secco and two high-quality sparkling wines, which are produced using the traditional method of bottle fermentation.

The cost of the tour (including Secco and sparkling wine) is £20 per person. Payment is made in cash directly to the tour guide.
