On Friday, 25 July, and Saturday, 26 July, the ferry will operate until 1 am, and on Sunday, 27 July, until 10 pm. There will also be a little surprise for all those travelling by ferry: guests can pick up a free glass of Prosecco or grape juice at the Ingelheim Vinothek stand on presentation of their ferry ticket.
The official opening of the Ingelheim Harbour Festival, which is organised by Ingelheimer Kultur und Marketing GmbH (IkUM), will take place on Friday evening (6 pm) on the main stage. The music programme starts on the opening day at 7.30 pm with ‘Daylight Music’ (main stage) and ‘TopUsed’ (small stage). One of the highlights on the Saturday of the harbour festival is the Bretzenheim ‘Shantychor’, which will be singing at various locations on the festival grounds between 3 and 5 pm. The audience may be surprised where the polyphonic choir appears.
Of course, there will also be a meeting point for young people on the harbour festival weekend. This year, the chill-out area of the ‘Yellow’ youth and cultural centre will set up its tents in front of the community centre in Rheinstraße (near the festival site). Under the motto ‘Palm Beach’, a party zone with lounge furniture for chilling out, a music pavilion, table football, billiards and the Fifa computer game awaits. Further information on opening times, the programme and how to get there is available online at www.ikum-ingelheim.de/hafenfest/
