On 4 and 5 July 2026, the motto in Ingelheim will be: discover, taste and enjoy! The Maxime Open, Rheinhessen’s largest wine tasting event, is coming to the ‘Red Wine Town’. Over 50 wineries from across Rheinhessen will be presenting their wines at the seven host wineries in Ingelheim.
What makes it special: instead of a traditional wine fair, visitors can look forward to a relaxed “winery hop”. Whether on a wine walk or by shuttle bus, you can travel comfortably from stop to stop – at your own pace and with plenty of opportunities for a chat with the winemakers.
At the individual estates, visitors can sample a wide range of wines: from fresh white wines to characterful Burgundy varieties and sparkling wines. The legendary Maxie Open Party on Saturday evening takes place at the J. Neus winery in Ober-Ingelheim, offering a lively atmosphere, great music and a real summer vibe – a highlight not to be missed. The weekend is guaranteed to be an enjoyable journey of discovery through Ingelheim.
The Maxime Open thus stands for authentic encounters, regional diversity and genuine wine enjoyment – whilst bringing guests from near and far to Ingelheim.
