On the last weekend of the summer holidays (Saturday, 16 August and Sunday, 17 August), it's that time again: the natural grounds behind Haus Burggarten in Ober-Ingelheim will be the setting for a big, colourful family festival with music, good cheer and unforgettable experiences. Guests of all ages can look forward to a varied programme with exciting hands-on activities and creative offers on both days. With its winding paths, the ingrown garden provides the ideal backdrop for a wonderful journey into the world of music and fantasy.
Along the way in the romantic castle garden, you can meet storytellers and noisemakers, listen to a bagpipe band and an African storyteller or try out various musical instruments. A travelling minstrel in historical costume will be on hand with a wagonload of unusual musical instruments for the whole family to try out. The interactive hip-hop show for children, which takes place on both days of the event, is also all about taking part and getting into action.
The family music festival in the Burggarten is a cooperation with the ‘Yellow’ youth and cultural centre. The event is supported by Edeka Engelhard. Tickets and further information can be found online at www.ikum-ingelheim.de/toene_tamtam/
Tickets are also available at the Ingelheim Tourist Information Centre, Binger Straße 16, at all Ticket Regional advance booking offices and at the box office.
