Tourist wine stand ‘Tassilo’ at the Jungau with live music

The best atmosphere and handmade live music will attract music-loving guests to the banks of the Rhine in Ingelheim on Sunday, 1 June at the ‘Tassilo’ tourist wine stand. From 3 pm to 7 pm, Rick Cheyenne will get the party started at the stand on the Jungau. The musician's repertoire includes blues, soul, country, pop and swing. There will also be atmospheric live music on Saturday, 14 June and Saturday, 19 July. The duo ‘Kronenburg & Sunrise’ will serve up a varied programme of pop and rock classics from the 1960s to the 2000s from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each day.

The tourist wine stand of Ingelheimer Kultur und Marketing GmbH (IkUM) has been open since the beginning of May. The pavilion on the Rhine acts as a contact point for visitors looking for information material on sights, cultural monuments and festivals in Ingelheim. There are also tips on cycling and hiking routes as well as an overview of cultural events in the red wine town. Of course, the topic of ‘wine experience’ is also included. At ‘Tassilo’, selected wines from the Ingelheim vinotheque will be served and small snacks offered.

The ‘Tassilo’ wine stand is located on the paved area on the Jungau, where the stylised ‘Tassilo figures’ by sculptor Klaus Prior stand. The seven wooden sculptures tell the story of the trial of Bavarian Duke Tassilo III in the imperial palace in Ingelheim in 788.
