Grape harvest for families in the vineyard of the Ingelheim wine shop

On Saturday, 6 September, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., families will have the opportunity to go grape picking together. In the vineyard of the Ingelheim wine shop, below the north terrace of the wine cellar, delicious table grapes can be harvested, tasted and taken home. Under the motto ‘Bring your secateurs and let's go,’ families are invited to stock up on vitamins from regional production at this community event. Of course, individuals are also welcome to join in the grape harvest.

Participation costs €5 for adults and €4 for children. The price includes a large paper bag for the grapes and one drink per person (grape spritzer/Federweißer/wine). Registration takes place at the wine shop in the Winzerkeller, Binger Straße 16, or in advance by email to info@vinothek-ingelheim.com or by telephone on 06132-710 009 420.

The small vineyard of the wine shop was planted by IkUM (Ingelheimer Kultur und Marketing GmbH) in 2020 as part of the renovation of the Winzerkeller. The 20 rows of vines are planted with different table grapes. White, red and blue varieties with different ripening times grow in the wine shop's vineyard, so that tasty grapes can be harvested here almost continuously between late summer and autumn.

The location at the wine cellar, where the Ingelheim winegrowers' cooperative once matured and stored its wines, is steeped in history, as there used to be a vineyard on this very spot. The wine cellar vineyard continues this tradition.
