Ingelheim harbour festival with large artists' market
If you are interested in original arts and crafts or inspiring upcycled objects, the large artists' market at the Ingelheim harbour festival is the place to be.
At the event on the Jungau on the banks of the Rhine (Friday, 25 July to Sunday, 27 July), guests can expect a varied programme with live music, attractive fairground rides and a wide range of culinary delights. In addition, a large artists' market with more than 25 stalls invites visitors to stroll and browse.
In keeping with its location on the Rhine, the artists' market offers exciting unique items with a connection to the water. The range includes wooden artworks made from old wine barrels, sailart fashion made from sailcloth and decorative objects made from driftwood. Great emphasis is placed on sustainability and upcycling. Of course, the artisans also take current trends into account with their offerings: in addition to high-quality crochet work and self-sewn accessories, you will find camping lights with USB connections or delicious jams made from regional fruit. For masters and mistresses who want to re-equip their four-legged friends, there are original dog leads and collars for the next walk along the Rhine. The stands also offer a large selection of unique jewellery, ranging from rings made of precious stones and necklaces made of glass beads to the trendy boho style. A hands-on station for children invites them to get creative themselves.
The official opening of the Ingelheim Harbour Festival, which is organised by Ingelheimer Kultur und Marketing GmbH (IkUM), will take place on the main stage on Friday evening at 6 pm. Philipp Weitzel, the reigning ‘Father Rhine’, will give the starting signal for the three-day party. The music programme starts at 7.30 pm on the opening day: the band ‘Daylight Music’ plays on the main stage and ‘TopUsed’ on the small stage. One of the highlights on the Saturday of the harbour festival is the Bretzenheim ‘Shantychor’, which will be singing at various locations on the festival grounds between 3 and 5 pm. The audience may be surprised where the polyphonic choir appears.
On the harbour festival weekend, there will of course also be a separate meeting place for young people. This year, the chill-out area of the ‘Yellow’ youth and cultural centre will set up its tents in front of the community centre in Rheinstraße, not far from the festival site. Under the motto ‘Palm Beach’, a party zone with lounge furniture for chilling out, a music pavilion, table football, billiards, the popular Fifa computer game and various board games await.
On Saturday, 26 July 2025, visitors interested in culture will have the opportunity to take a public guided tour of the Frei-Weinheim district. The meeting point is at 15:00 at the Napoleon oak / stele of the Frei-Weinheim historical tour.
On Sunday, 27 July 2025, the Fischerhaus at Schubertstraße 5 will open its doors from 14:00 to 17:00 and invites you to immerse yourself in the history of the district.
