Old-established winegrowing and organic cultivation go well together. This is how the organic winery Kronenhof (ECOVIN) in Gau-Algesheim, in the very north of Rheinhessen, emerged 15 years ago from a traditional family business. Andreas Hattemer from Geisenheim relies on flourishing vineyards and living soils to produce wines with strong character in the cellar. The wine in sheep´s skin. The winery is managed in fifth generation by Gerhard Wolf. Tradition and passing on knowledge are now combined in a modern winery. The winery has switched to organic farming since 2020.
The winery is located on the plateau of the Laurenziberg and gives a spectacular view into three valleys. The vineyards are located in their favour with excellent climatic conditions. The winery and the restaurant are popular for more than 25 years.
Every year, we strive to produce authentic wines with a distinctive character. With a focus on the traditional and local grape varieties Riesling, Silvaner and Pinot Noir. In our opinion, the goal of winemaking is to create optimal conditions in the vineyard so that as little intervention as possible is needed later in the wine. Wine tastings are possible from 4 to 15 people.
Sebastian Baum, with the support of his family, is the fourth generation to run the winery, which was founded in 1928. In 2013, he was awarded best young winemaker in theory and practice. In addition to his first-class expertise, a lot of love and passion go into his products. The vinotheque, built in the old cowshed in a modern, rustic style, invites you to taste. Our winery in Ingelheim is located on the northern edge of Rheinhessen between the Rhine and the hills. Here we cultivate around nine hectares of vines exclusively organically and ECOVIN certified. The best red and white wines for wine lovers and connoisseurs - that is what the name Huf stands for, now in its 4th generation. Wine tastings are possible from 5 to 12 people.
We, the Wasem Doppelstück winery, focus on quality, femininity, craftsmanship and, above all, the idea of sustainability. That is why we are converting our farm to organic by 2022. And now the new and fourth generation follows with Marie and Julia Wasem. We are a combination of many years of experience and young dynamism.
Our winery has been located in the heart of the red wine town of Ingelheim for over 100 years. Tradition and quality are the hallmarks of our family business, which cultivates 13.5 hectares of vineyards in the best locations of Ingelheim.
