The imposing castle church in Ober-Ingelheim, with its idyllic grounds, is one of the historical highlights in Ingelheim and is always the backdrop for festivals and celebrations. The district offers the most beautiful romantic nooks and crannies in the red wine town. The former splendid noble courtyards in Stiegelgasse and Edelgasse tell their own stories of that time. Today, the former Cistercian convent "Engelthal" in Edelgasse is a popular location for events and wine enjoyment.

The district of Frei-Weinheim is located directly on the Rhine and is known for its ferry connection to the wine-growing region of Rheingau. In former times, the place was an important port for Charlemagne and his imperial palace, as well as part of the Ingelheimer Grund. The history of Frei-Weinheim is very much shaped by life on the Rhine.

Even today, you can see from the impressive buildings that the nobility used to live in Großwinternheim. The imposing Selztaldom, which stands at the end of the village in the direction of Schwabenheim, is the most important sight of Großwinternheim.

The Heidesheim district consists of the three districts Heidesheim, Heidenfahrt and Uhlerborn. As a result, Heidesheim is very extensive and even owns a small proportion of the few forest areas in Rheinhessen. Ingelheim West developed in the middle of the 20th century from the so-called new housing estate Dietrich-Bonhoeffer and is the youngest district of Ingelheim.

No other district of Ingelheim is more diverse than Nieder-Ingelheim. With the historically significant Imperial Palace, the wine experience world in the Winzerkeller and the modern Neue Mitte, there is something for every taste.

The district of Wackernheim lies between the Rabenkopf nature reserve and the Mainzer Berg in the midst of fruit and vegetable fields. Water has been a special topic for the town since the Middle Ages, so the water supply from the Karlsquelle supplied the area around the Wackernheim valley.
