Winery Gres

The Gres winery looks back on a good 300 years of winemaking tradition. The family came in the wake of the Huguenot banishment in 1684 from the Rhône Valley, where they had already done viticulture, to Rheinhessen. There, they planted 70,000 vines on 15 hectares in and around the municipality of Appenheim. The vineyards are located in five municipalities, so that for each grape variety an ideal location is available. The vines thrive particularly well on humus-rich limestone soils. In addition to national (Riesling,...

Picturesquely situated between the Ober-Ingelheim Castle Church and the vineyards, wine has been successfully made here for 20 years. Robert and Herbert Hamm have a high demand on their own work, which they carry with great commitment in the vineyards. Here, the basis for the first-class wines is created by a lot of manual work. Winery Helmut Weber

In 1952, the winery was founded by Helmut Weber in Gau-Algesheim. Since 1995, the company has been in the hands of winemaker Hermann Weber and his wife Martina. Since then a lot has happened. On 15 hetares, the family cultivates about half red and white grape varieties. Moderate yields and appropriate quality management are important requirements for Mr. Weber to produce aromatic whites and strong red wines. The special hobbyhorses of the company are the grape varieties Blauer Portugieser, Gewürztraminer and Schwarzriesling (Pinot...

Winery Hofmann

We, Carolin Willems and Jürgen Hofmann own two wineries, he Saar estate Willems-Willems and Rheinhessen Weingut Hofmann. It is very exciting and will be in the future. With our wedding in June 2006, we drew the bow between Saar and Rheinhessen and merged both wineries, also on a wine list. Our philosophy is to produce top wines - two different regions, different terroir, a large complete offer. With the new label equipment from the year 2011, we also optically implement our motto "slate meets shell limestone". A...

Winery J. Bettenheimer

Smokey, exotic, wild, but also classic - the wines of Jens Bettenheimer unmistakably resemble their creator. A winemaker, like a father or a mother, must educate and nurture the vine, so that it can flourish and bring its fruits to maturity, in order to find fulfillment in a great wine. Far away in far-away New Zealand, the young winemaker learned how to make individual wines and reinterpret classic grape varieties with cellar master Hätsch Kalberer. The journey is the goal: in meticulous and...

Winery K. & K. Dautermann

The Dautermann winery is one of the places to go in Ingelheim. Ambitiously Kurt and Kristian Dautermann - who now also belong to the elite squad of the "Deutsche Weinelf" (National German winemaker's football club) - bring forward the family winery. With 65 percent red wine, the red wine specialists have increased their popularity especially with their extraordinary Pinot Noirs recently. But even with the traditional white wines - whether Riesling, Silvaner or Pinot Gris - this winery has a great...
