Winery Gerharz-Hochthurn

Since 1992, Ursula and Tilo Hochthurn have been managing the Mediterranean-style winery Gerharz-Hochthurn in Gau-Algesheim. The modern-oriented farm now manages about 20 ha of vineyards in the fourth generation. The vines grow in Gau-Algesheim, Ingelheim and Horrweiler. Due to the lime-rich, deep soils and slopes, a variety of wines in terms of minerality and aromas is possible. Tilo Hochthurn proudly presents his convincing Rieslings and Pinots. Winery Gres

The Gres winery looks back on a good 300 years of winemaking tradition. The family came in the wake of the Huguenot banishment in 1684 from the Rhône Valley, where they had already done viticulture, to Rheinhessen. There, they planted 70,000 vines on 15 hectares in and around the municipality of Appenheim.
