'Freedom of imagination'

Christine Eixenberger is a thoroughbred entertainer who cannot deny her educational past. She wears her heart on her sleeve, a red pencil in her hand and the intermission gong
in her ear. The latter is certainly better than tinnitus. From teacher to cabaret artist and actress - not much has changed, says Christine Eixenberger: "Well, you just have to get through the morning.
get through the morning."

In 2019, she was awarded the Bavarian Cabaret Prize in the "high-flyer" category. Jury statement: "Young, radiant, cheeky - and very Bavarian. In three
In three solo programs, the trained primary school teacher has already proven that she can dish it out as uninhibitedly as unsparingly and expose bourgeois sensitivities...".

In autumn 2021, Christine Eixenberger launches her new solo program "Einbildungsfreiheit" and sweeps from one Bavarian stage to the next at her usual rapid pace. She can't help it, because she has set herself free. From her own four walls, but not because she has to, because "she doesn't have to do anything except die" (Grandpa Eixenberger). But rather because she can, in the spirit of Voltaire: "Will is will and freedom is ability". This sets thoughts free...but which ones?

It all begins with biblical water damage: Driven out of her own four walls by legendary mushroom colonies and not-so-swift tradesmen, Christine Eixenberger sets off on an odyssey through the urban and small-town jungle.

In her new program, the cabaret artist presents a panopticon that couldn't be more romantic: In her involuntary search for an apartment, she ensnares real estate agents and homeowners, all of whom behave like feudal lords of a bygone era. "I'll be so free...!" thinks Christine Eixenberger and confronts the would-be monarchs of modern times with her usual fearless, powerful voice and eloquence, steeled by countless handicraft lessons and primary school trips.

"Einbildungsfreiheit" is a witty tale of burghers and damsels, of the power of markets and the search for that one, mystical, most Bavarian of all places: The ominous "Dahoam".
