In the exhibition “Munster felt good” about the life and work of Sebastian Münster there are two double portraits of married couples: one shows Martin Luther and his wife Katharina von Bora, the other shows Sebastian Münster and his wife Anna Selber. They tell of changes on the threshold from the Middle Ages to the early modern period and of the new possibilities of the Reformation for women and clerical men. The portraits are also interesting from an art historical point of view, because the portrait genre was still young at this time.
