40th Ingelheim Senior Days in the Museum at the Imperial Palace
Once upon a time in Nieder-Ingelheim…
Guided tour and workshop
For 25 years, the museum at the Kaiserpfalz has been located in the former fire station, built around 1935, on what is now François-Lachenal-Platz. Not only the name of the square, but also the face of Nieder-Ingelheim has changed since then: many of the buildings we are familiar with today were built in a “building boom” after the Second World War. Old shops and restaurants have disappeared and new ones have appeared, but local residents have always experienced these changes, helped shape them and recorded them in photographs. We embark on an illustrated journey through time through three decades of Nieder-Ingelheim's history. After a refreshment with coffee and cake, a workshop offers insights into reading and writing the Sütterlin script.
